The country’s best collegiate club lacrosse teams will descend on Orange County in a little more than two weeks, when the MCLA holds its 2014 National Championships Tournament at UC Irvine and Chapman University.
The tournament runs Monday, May 12, through Saturday, May 17.
“The [Southwest Lacrosse Conference] is thrilled to bring the 2014 & 2015 MCLA Championships to the southwest and the premier facilities offered by UC Irvine and Chapman University,” said SLC President Matt Holman. “The sport of lacrosse is exploding in California and what better way to contribute to this growing interest than to showcase the elite level of play the MCLA is known for.”
The event consists of 16-team brackets each for Division I and Division II club teams, with first-round and quarterfinal games held at UC Irvine’s recreation fields, and semifinal and championship games held at Chapman’s Ernie Chapman Stadium.
While admission to games at Irvine is free, tickets are required. They can be ordered here.
Separate tickets are required for semifinal games Thursday, May 15, and championship games Saturday, May 17, at Chapman. Tickets are available at three price levels: $15 (field-level reserved), $12 (field-level standing room) and $10 (general admission). They can be purchased here.
More details, a full event schedule and directions can be found on the event’s official site.
