South Bay Lacrosse makes its SCLAX playoff debut Sunday at Newport Beach.
The SCLAX released its
playoff schedule this week, with top seeds Beverly Hills and Quiksilver earning first-round byes and two qualifiers in each division matching up for the right to advance. South Bay Lacrosse makes its SCLAX playoff debut Sunday at Newport Beach.
In the North Division, first-time playoff qualifier
South Bay (7-3) heads to Newport Beach as the No. 3 seed to take on the Newport Beach Lacrosse Club (7-3) at Peninsula Park (Sunday, 10 a.m.).
In the South,
40 Thieves lost a coin flip with Quiksilver for the first-round bye and thus will play host to the San Diego Lacrosse Club at the Bishop’s School in La Jolla (Sunday, 2 p.m.).
Sunday’s North Division winner advances to meet top-seeded
Beverly Hills (9-1) on June 17, while the South winner will meet Quiksilver (8-2). The SCLAX title game is scheduled for June 24, with the champion advancing to the sate finals on June 29.
