Congrats to Harvard-Westlake, which won it’s second consecutive outright Mission League title Monday night, beating Crespi Carmelite 8-7 in overtime.
The Wolverines scored twice in the final 1:30 of regulation to force OT, including the tying goal by sophomore middie Jack Temko with 20 seconds left on a man-up opportunity. Sophomore attack Ross O’Shea scored the game-winner with 1:21 to play in OT.
Both Harvard-Westlake (11-3, 7-1 Mission) and Crespi (11-3, 5-3) open playoffs tonight with home games. The Wolverines, seeded sixth, must come down from their high of last night to take on No. 11-seed Mira Costa (8-10), while Crespi, seeded fourth, has to pick itself up from the tough loss to face No. 13 Thousand Oaks (8-6).
