The Adrenaline Challenge returns to San Diego on Jan. 5-6, hosting almost 100 teams across Youth, Middle School, High School and Elite divisions, including many of the Southland’s finest, as well as teams from around the country and from Canada.
The 2013 Challenge marks the third year the tournament has been held at the Del Mar Polo Fields, a large venue with multiple fields in one centralized location, and almost 60 college recruiters are listed as planning to attend. In between games, players can attend clinics led by the college coaches and explore the vendor village.
New to the Adrenaline Challenge this year is the LXM Challenge, the seventh and final stop on the 2012 LXM Pro Tour. Team STX and Team Sole will face off at Torrey Pines High School (6:15 p.m., Jan. 5) after the tournament games end for the day. The Lacrosse Network will be streaming the game on its YouTube channel.
Along with the LXM Challenge, Adrenaline also offers a brand new Adrenaline VIP Experience, which includes a meet and greet with LXM Players at the Adrenaline Challenge, VIP Parking and admission to the LXM Challenge, an Adrenaline Apparel package, access to a postgame autograph session and more. LXM Challenge tickets as well as Adrenaline VIP Experience tickets can be can be purchased online.
As a former participant in the Adrenaline Challenge, both at the current location in Del Mar and previous locations, I can say from experience that Adrenaline puts on a great event for players and recruiters. The addition of the LXM Challenge only bolsters an already well-run tournament, and the event should be a success.
